Delivery

Timescale before delivery…

All of our sweet treats are made fresh to order!  While we can often make them with a fast turnaround of just a couple of days, we do ask that you try and allow up to 10 working days (approximately 2 weeks) for them to be made, to allow for busy periods.  If you need them faster than the 10 working days, we can often still help, but please check with us before placing your order by sending an email to: hello@conesbycally.co.uk. We can usually confirm very quickly for you
Please note that large orders (>100) may take longer to make. Please enquire for current timescales.
The delivery timescales below are in addition to the manufacturing timescale.
Collection

We offer free standard collection from CF3 2NN.  Please allow the time showing when ordering for your items to be made first.  We will contact you when they are ready to collect to arrange a collection day/time.  Contactless collection is available, please just ask when arranging the collection.

Delivery Rates and Timescales

Please remember to allow time for your items to be made in addition to the delivery timeframe shown here. The current manufacture times are shown on the individual product pages.

* Please be aware that these deliveries are made using external agencies and once your parcel is handed over it is then out of our direct control. While we will do everything we can to get them out to you, we regrettably cannot guarantee the above timescales, especially at peak times, in bad weather and during/after carrier strikes.  Please ensure that you leave plenty of time for the delivery to take place, in case of a carrier delay.

We always advise allocating a safe dry place where the parcel can be left, or advise a neighbour who can take the parcel if you may not be in at the time of the delivery. This is really helpful in avoiding delays.

If you provide a date that your sweet treats are needed by, we do endeavour to allow at least an additional day for the delivery to take place, just in case of a slight delivery hiccup.  This is virtually never needed, but we try to have this day spare for you.  Please note that this additional day for the delivery may not be possible on shorter-timescale orders.

If you need your items quickly, we always advise selecting the Next Day Courier option as this is the least likely to be affected by delays (please note this is 2-4 days for remote Scotland/N. Ireland).

Collection by Your Own Courier

If you would prefer to arrange a courier collection from us yourselves, rather than us arranging the delivery, we are more than happy to oblige.  Select the “Collect from CF3 2NN” delivery method and you won’t be charged any shipping costs at the checkout.  We will let you know the dimensions and weight or the parcel(s) when it is ready to be collected.  You can then email the shipping label to us and we will apply it ready for the collection for you.  Please note that there may be an occasional date that we are unable to wait in for a courier, so please check with us before arranging the collection.

Who carries out the deliveries?

In most cases THE DELIVERIES WILL BE CARRIED OUT BY EVRI, ROYAL MAIL or DPD, although in some instances alternatives carriers may be used. We are happy to deliver to a private address or a place of work if you prefer, so long as there is someone there to receive the delivery.

If you would prefer that we do not use any of these carriers for your delivery, please just let us know at time of ordering and we will be happy to use a different carrier for you.

If you are aware of any issues with any of the carriers in your area, please just pop a note in the order comments letting us know when entering your order. We are always happy to send out your sweet treats using a carrier of your choice.  Over the years we have tried virtually every well-established courier in the UK.  Unfortunately none of them are perfect and we have particularly had issues with DHL and Yodel.  In our area, Evri, Royal Mail and DPD are the more reliable, so they are the ones that we would ordinarily use.  Please just let us know if you have issues in your area with any of these carriers.

Can I allocate a safe place?

Yes, please let us if you would like to allocate a safe place to leave your parcel. Please note that this safe place should be out of the rain.  Deliveries that have an allocated safe place tend to get delivered more effectively and are less likely to experience delays if you are not in when the delivery is attempted.

If you will not be in and you are not there to accept the delivery, items left in the safe place are left at your own risk.

If your safe place (or your address itself) isn’t obvious, please use What3Words to obtain a specific three-word location for it. We specifically use a courier that uses this location service.

Once you receive the courier delivery notification you can also add a photo of your safe place on the courier’s website so that the courier knows exactly where to deliver your parcel to.

My property is hard to find!
If your property is hard to locate, please use What3Words to obtain a three-word location which will get the courier to within a specific 3-metre-square location anywhere in the UK. We specifically use a courier that uses this location service.

What packaging will my order come in? Will it be sustainable?

We take our impact on the environment very seriously.  Where possible we always endeavour to use recycled and recyclable materials, both in manufacture and shipping. You will notice that our bubble wrap will normally have a green tinge to it.  This is to indicate that it is both recyclable and biodegradable.

On the very rare occasions that we use non-recyclable materials in our packaging, it is only because we have received them in a delivery ourselves and we think it is better to reuse them, rather than just put them straight into recycling or landfill
